KIU 76 UPDF 50

UPDF's physical and somewhat signature approach to the game didn't yield the results they wanted, losing 76-50 to on-form KIU at the YMCA on Wednesday night.

It is a game Hamza Nyambogo's boys executed with mastery despite not being a high scoring game as UPDF were defensive on the cover with Moses Muhumuza making some important steals for the league debutants.

Chris Basheke and Samuel Agutu's stifling performances produced 13 points a piece as KIU dominated all the four quarters, making it sixteen in sixteen games!

Mathew Achieng had 12 points and seven rebounds for the Titans to climb second on the log behind three-peat defending champions City Oilers, currently on 39 points and away in Tanzania for the Zone 5 Championships.

Wilberforce Pirworth and Daniel Manojo stood out for the Tomahawks making 11 points each. Manojo still made a remarkable 11 rebounds.

KIU are back in action Friday against Pemba Warriors at Lugogo and if they secure the maximum points, they will be only two points behind the City Oilers.
