The move follows the increasing number of young school girls engaged in selling Ajon in bars spread in the area.

The local leaders in Moru B village in Abela parish Katakwi district have vowed to arrest mothers who give young girls local brew popularly known as Ajon and crude waragi to sell in bars.

The move follows the increasing number of young school girls engaged in selling Ajon in bars spread in the area.

George William Arwaitum, the area LC1 chairperson, warned that the act puts the life of young girls at risk of being defiled or raped.

He proposed that parents operating bars and pubs hire mature ladies to run their businesses instead of derailing the future of their daughters.
