Defending champions Pioneer came up big against minnows KICC at the Entebbe lakeside oval on Saturday to remain second ahead of Janet Mbabazi's wanderers  who are currently in third place.

It was an opportunity for Scovia Akello and Co to pay back having lost by 123 runs in their first round encounter.

Abel Queentor, the nineteen year old Kenyan all-rounder found her magic working scoring 31 from 33 balls but it was the right hand bat experienced Carol Namugenyi who caused more damage to KICC.

She posted 23 not out off 29 balls in the first innings of Pioneer who opted to bat having won the toss.

Still in the second innings, with her right arm medium fast bowling style, Namugenyi made 4/15 in 6.4 overs. Daisy Wairimu was also on the offensive, claiming 3/13 as KICC were all out for 53 in just 22.4 overs.
