Whenever they meet, it will always be an absorbing encounter and on Sunday, Challengers and Tornado Bee weighed themselves on the wicket in the first edition of the Kishor Pabari Memorial tournament.

As it turned out, 2016 league champions Challengers carried more weight; they overcame Tornado Bee by 9 wickets.

The 26 year old posted a half century of  65 from 39 balls in the second innings of Challengers at the Lugogo oval.

His training partner Arthur Kyobe struck 31 from 49 balls as Ivan Thawithemwira's side chased down the target of 117.Aneef Mohamed made 2/32 as Tornado Bee lost 6 wickets.

Earlier in the first innings of Tornado Bee's top order had picked 117, with Roger Mukasa and Nicholas Kebba posting 43 off 26 balls and 29 off 25 balls respectively though this was not high enough for Challengers to chase.

The tournament which is held in memory of former national off spinner Kishor Pabari who died in a car accident resumes next weekend at Kyambogo and Lugogo ovals.
