Singer Pallaso wanted over assault

Singer Pius Mayanja commonly known as Pallaso is wanted by Police over assault charges.

The singer, who sings under Team Good Music, where he is the founding member of the group, is wanted by Katwe Police Station over accusations that he assaulted Alfred Wambede, a security guard in Namuwongo, a Kampala suburb.

According to the Police, Pallaso arrived at Dembe FM for a music talk show, but was blocked by Wambede for a security check. Pallaso resisted, saying he is a 'star' who cannot be subjected to a security check.

Wambede denied Pallaso entrance to which he reportedly responded by raining blows on the guard.

It took the intervention of music show host Isaac Katende before Pallaso was allowed entrance.

Michael Odur, an investigative officer at Katwe Police Station said the guard sustained injuries.

"We are looking for Pallaso and any time he will be under custody after he snubbed the Police summons," Odur said.

Early this year, Pallaso assaulted a security guard at Radio & Weasel's home in Kizungu, Makindye division when he was reportedly barred from entering the duo's home.

A case of assault was registered on Police file no. CRB/23/04/09/2016.
