The U-15 continental champion Brian Kasirye believes his team could have performed better if only they had received enough exposure ahead of the All Africa U-19 Championships that ended over the weekend in Morocco.

Uganda was among the countries that fielded the youngest athletes at the competition with the eldest being David Senono with 18years while the youngest was 10yr-old Tracy Naluwooza.

In the men's double, Uganda's skipper Kasirye paired with Senono though lost two straight 2-0, (21-14, 21-13) in a tight contest final against Algeria's Yacine Belhouane and Samy Khaldi.

"They (Algerian's) were a much better side but we tried so hard to contain the pressure although we lost both sets," said Kasirye during a press briefing that was presided over by NCS David Katende at their offices at Lugogo yesterday.

In the girl's category, Naluwooza and Husina Kobugabe both lost to Egyptian's in the singles and later fell to Algerian's in the doubles at the biennial event.
