Black Pirates get new home

The 10,000 capacity seater stadium will host different sports disciplines ranging from basketball, volleyball and Tennis Courts on the nine acre land.

Black pirates will effective next year move to their new home in Bweyogerere called the Kings Park in Kikajo village Wakiso district.

This is after the members of the club under the umbrella, Kings Park Limited signed a partnership with the family of the late Eng. Samson Iga a former trustee of Wankulukuku Stadium.

The 10,000 capacity seater stadium will host different sports disciplines ranging from basketball, volleyball and Tennis Courts on the nine acre land.

Dr.Daniel S Iga, the heir to the late Eng.Iga said that the Partnership is one way of investing in a public good.

"We have signed a memorandum of understand so that work starts but we are going to finalise the remaining requirement as work goes on. What I can assure you is that it is a long term partnership," Dr. Iga stated.

Pirates chairman Edmond Owor explained that they decided to move on because Legends Kampala Rugby Club was limiting their expansion and growth as a club.
