The U15 continental champion Brian Kasirye might have endured a disappointing performance in the singles but he still didn't lose out on a podium finish at the just concluded All Africa U19 Championships in Morocco.

He was knocked out in the men's singles but later teamed up with Davis Senono to finish second in the men's doubles at the weeklong event.

Kasirye and Senono suffered a hard fought 2-1 defeat against the pair of Yacine Belhouane and Samy Khaldi of Algeria in the men's doubles final but according to the team manager Simon Mugabi, the duo put up a tremendous performance.

"They were playing against senior and more experienced opponents throughout but if they managed to reach the final, then to me I feel they worked extremely hard," Mugabi said.

They had earlier teamed up with Tracy Naluwooza and Husina Kobugabe but couldn't make it past the group stages.

They competed in Group A but lost 4-1 against Egypt and South Africa though later beat Seychelles 3-2 in the last match in a pool of four teams.
