When he started keeping chicken at his farm in Nalumunye, Rubaga division, the challenge of poor feeds, bought from dealers in Kisenyi saw him start to process his own feeds, which process subsequently developed into a feed mill. He subsequently named the feed mill, Takuwa feed mill. Today, with over 27,000 chicken, Ssentamu is earning good money from both the poultry unit and the feed mill. "It was one challenge that led me to practice the kind of integration that I am practicing today," he says.
