Aug 29, 2016

The trial magistrate extended the case to September 15

City Hall Court grade one magistrate Moses Nabende has further extended the arrest warrant against city tycoon Hassan Basajjabalaba alongside two Tabliq Muslim leaders for causing public nuisance at the Queens Way Tabliq mosque.

This comes after the trio failed to show up in court on various occasions and were issued warrants of arrest since November last year. Their whereabouts are however unknown.

The trial magistrate extended the case to September 15.

Prosecution alleges that on September 11, 2015 Basajjabalaba with Hajji Mbuga piled soil debris, run down kiosks and also managed a washing bay in undesignated place at Queens Way along Entebbe Road which all created a nuisance to the public amidst Pope Francis' visit.
