August 29, 2000:Constitution (Amendment) Bill tabled

The Justice and Constitutional Affairs Minister Mayanja Nkangi tabled the Constitution (Amendment) Bill of 2000 to amend articles on quorum and voting. The Bill sought to validate laws and resolutions passed since October 1995 when the Constitution was passed. It also seek to validate any law which was enacted without being scrutinized by a Parliamentary Committee.
