Here’s one way to expose your band’s talent and become popular worldwide.

Are you an amateur music band of no more than six members - and with no recording contract? Well, this could just be your best shot at shining on the international stage.

A unique music competition is right in your path: the Yamaha E-Band Competition, a first-ever amateur band competition showcasing recorded video performances of music talents from a wide range of cultures all over the globe.

And of course, not to be left out of the party, Ugandans have been offered an opportunity to take part, courtesy of a team effort of Talent Africa and Selak Uganda Ltd.

Here's one way to expose your band's talent and become popular worldwide via the Internet. Upcoming musicians are encouraged to sign-up and register their band to become part of such an exciting event.

Amateur bands are encouraged to register for the competition before this Saturday (August 27) for a chance to record for free in Kampala, thanks to Selak and Talent Africa.

Location: Yamaha Music Showroom at Radiant House on Plot 20 Kampala Road.

"This competition is meant to facilitate talent development, as well as motivate and inspire young musicians to do their best and scale to an international level," said Meron Agaba, Selak Uganda's general manager.

The Ugandan band with the best submission will receive a prize of Yamaha Music products.

And the overall winner of the Kampala competition will be granted an all-expense-paid trip to compete at the 2016 Asian Beat Band Competition on November 5 this year.

There will also be individual prizes for the best guitarist, bassist, keyboardist, drummer and vocalist.
