Only 30 vehicles will be allowed into the inner perimeter of Mandela National Stadium, Namboole, as one of the guidelines security agencies have put in place to control crowds expected to throng the Masaza Cup final on Saturday.

Seven-time finalists Gomba will host last year's runners-up Buddu in the final that will be presided over by the Kabaka of Buganda, Ronald Muwenda II. Vice President, Edward Kiwanuka Sekandi who also hails from Buddu, will also grace the final.

Prior to the final, there will be a classification match between Busujju and Kyaggwe to determine the third and fourth placed teams.

In a security meeting that convened at Namboole and chaired by Kampala Metropolitan Police Commander Frank Mwesigwa (CP), it was agreed that only vehicles belonging to the Very Very Important Persons (VVIPs) would be allowed in the inner perimeter.

"All other vehicles, but with stickers, will occupy the outside parking area," Mwesigwa announced, adding that no one will be allowed to enter with any kind of drink.

"Those who will want to drink will have to buy from the inside perimeter, but no vending of any kind will be allowed in the terraces," he stressed.

He explained that the security will have two rings: the outer and inner. While the inner will take care of the situation in the stadium, the outer ring will take care of all roads leading to and from the stadium before, during and after the game.

"We shall have both vehicle and foot patrols. There will be no kifesi that day and you may never hear about kifesi again," Mwesigwa stated when asked about the kifesi threat.

About 50 security officers from Police and other agencies, Royal Guards, the Mengo minister for sports Henry Sekabembe, Masaza Cup organizing committee officials, Namboole management and Abitex Promotions attended the meeting.
