School circumcises child without parent's consent

David Bwire has lodged a complaint to Police against the school management for circumcising his son without his consent.

Bonny Wasike, a pupil of Kitebi Light College SSS in Kampala was among the students who were circumcised.

Bwire said the manner in which the circumcision of his child was carried is against the Gishu culture.

"It is incumbent upon me his father and the elders to carry out the ritual when my son comes of age. The priority of my son is education. Other things will be later. He is only 13 years," he said.
