The National Skating Federation is intensifying preparations to select the national roller skating team ahead of the World Roller Speed Skating Championship slated to take place in Nanjing, China from 10th-18th September.

The preparations got underway over the weekend at Namboole after a positive turn up of about 30 participants, both women and men that will feature in different categories of 100m, 400m, 5000m and 10000m.

The roller skaters are using the four-wheeled turning roller skate, or quad skate, with four wheels set in two side-by-side wheels (front and rear).
