KAMPALA - With only days to the start of a new Uganda Premier League season, Vipers SC and rivals KCCA FC will battle for the Super Cup later today (Sunday).

The Super Cup, Uganda's version of England's Community Shield, features the winners of last season's Azam Premier League and Uganda Cup champions.

Ahead of the new campaign, KCCA has played a number of trial games, including the charity KCCA invitation tournament eventually won by Proline FC at the Phillip Omondi Stadium.

Vipers also had some pre-season games. They beat Jinja-based club JMC Hippos 1-0 and Sadolin Paints FC, before registering a 2-0 victory over Big League side Masavu FC on the travel.

The two sides will play at Mutesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku at 4pm.

Referee Alex Muhabi will officiate the match, assisted by Hussein Bugembe and Musa Balikoowa.
