Bishop Kaziimba noted that, there are many religions which are developing in the country

The bishop of Mityana diocese Rt Rev Dr Samuel Stephen Kaziimba has warned Christians to avoid joining other religions but to stick to the Anglican faith.

Bishop Kaziimba noted that, there are many religions which are developing in the country and some Christians join them, yet they would have remained in their religions.

Bishop Kaziimba was on Sunday preaching during his episcopal visit to Buwaate parish, in Buwekula archdeaconry, Mityana diocese.

"There are religions which have been existing for long but it's a pity that more religions are coming up and worse, even Christians join them," he said.

Dr Kaziimba said the new religions have their unique way of worship which is totally different from that of the first religions.

By the time bishop Kaziimba made the remarks, his colleague the bishop of the catholic diocese of Kiyinda bishop Dr Joseph Antony Zziwa had just warned the faithful to be careful with the developing worshiping centers of the catholic faith.

While at Buwaate, Bishop Kaziimba launched the new multimillion water project which has been started by the diocese to support the residents.

For long, shortage of water has been one of the major challenges faced by the people of Buwaate in Kigando Sub County, Mubende district by the project will help them partly solve the problem.

Dr Kaziimba launched some of the bore holes which had been completed and asked the Christians to take care of them so that they serve for long.

During the prayers, bishop Kaziimba also confirmed hundreds of children.
