Besigye appears before Kabale court

The former FDC presidential candidate has appeared before court in Kabale over charges of inciting violence in 2012 which led to the destruction of police vehicles.

Besigye, Ingrid Turinawe, Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago, Kawempe South MP Mubarrak Munyagwa, and others appeared before a grade 1 magistrate's court.

The FDC politician and his colleagues allegedly incited the public at Kabale Stadium in July 2012, leading to the injuring of four policemen and destruction of three police cars by their stone-pelting supporters.
