NSSF gives KAVC sh70m

NSSF has announced another sh70m sponsorship package for the KAVC-International volleyball tournament that attracts teams from Rwanda, Kenya, South Sudan, Burundi and hosts Uganda.

The 20th edition of the two-day annual championship, throws off at Lugogo, MUBS and Namboole grounds starting Saturday.

NSSF started sponsoring KAVC International in 2008.

Last year Rwanda Revenue Authority won the women's final while another Rwandan side INATEK took the men's trophy.

Over the weekend, local sides Sport S, KCCA, Sky VC, Old Kampala, KAVC A and KAVC B will be joined by Rukinzo and Muzinga from Burundi, Volleyball Force Terrestre from DRC, Kenya's University of Nairobi, Cooperative Bank, Administration Police, GS, Rwanda's INATEK VC, APR, Kigali Volleyball Club  in the men's category.

The women's line up has KCCA, Sport-S, Ndejje University, Nkumba University KAVC A, KAVC B and VVC facing Kenya Prisons, Pipeline, KCB, Rwanda Revenue Authority, APR, Kigali VC among others.
