The two were arrested by police detectives after they were found selling 'stolen' cattle.

Police in Ibanda are holding two men in their 20s in connection with rampant cattle theft in the district.

The two have been identified by Ibanda district Police Commander Deniis Ochamma as Ninsiima Zoel and Tukamwesiga John.

The two were arrested by police detectives after they were found selling cattle that had been previously reported stolen from the owners' farms.

Ochama revealed that the suspects are part of a bigger racket involved in cattle theft in the region.

"We shall investigate until we get all the dealers in the business since we have got these suspects. We shall apprehend them so that they link us to their counterparts," said Ochama.

One of the arrested men was found with a forged stamp which police believed he used to forge documents to move stolen animals from one point to another.
