Local leader critical of pastors who 'sleep with their flock'

A local councilor in Serere district has criticized so-called pastors from mushrooming churches in the area for taking advantage of women under the guise of praying for them.

LC3 councilor John Robert Eudu of Kateta sub-county said some pastors from new churches are using "miracle services" to sleep with desperate women.

"When you go to the church, please, pray. Don't pray as you look at the women or the girlfriends from the church," he urged.

His comments come after numerous reports of some ‘pastors' taking advantage of women attending their churches.

If not regulated, Eudu is worried that the situation could get out of hand as some people are likely to be trapped into such churches.
