This comes after Nakiwala joined other ministers and Permanent Secretaries for a retreat in Kyankwanzi.

The Democratic Party has disowned the minister for youth and children affairs Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi as its member.

This comes after Nakiwala joined other ministers and Permanent Secretaries for a retreat in Kyankwanzi.

The party publicist Kenneth Paul Kakande said Nakiwala is like a Muslim who eats pork during Ramadan, saying Nakwala no longer serves the interests of the DP.

Kakande has also attacked the Government for attempting to bailout many city tycoons. Kakande says that the Government should instead focus on improving the health section.

On the issue of Florence Nakiwala, the minister of state for youth and children affairs taking on the ministerial role, Kakande said the national executive committee of DP has never sat any meeting to sanction her to go and serve in National Resistance Movement (NRM).

"She is there on her own, we are not aware and do not know how she went there. Our members cannot be both DP and NRM, she is no longer serving the principles of DP," said Kakande

He noted that tough DP is an open party and a person can walk out any time they want, it is important that whoever considers him/herself a party member respect its principles and structures.
