The Ndejje Club player won the men's singles with 104 strokes in 12 fairways ahead of team mate Mohammed Musisi with 105 strokes in second place and Wilson Musinguzi with 107 strokes in third position.

Former men's seed one woodball player Onesmus Atamba feels there is more at stake than just winning trophies as he plots to reclaim his position in the local scene.

Onesmus who was recently crowned the Nile Special USPA winner of the month of May together with Lillian Zawedde after the duo won gold in the mixed doubles at the Korea International Open, said he is more than prepared to win more accolades this year.

"The USPA award has raised the desire to think of all possible ways of reclaiming my position. I have been so relaxed but am back," he said after winning the Presidents Cup over the weekend at Lugogo.

The Ndejje Club player won the men's singles with 104 strokes in 12 fairways ahead of team mate Mohammed Musisi with 105 strokes in second place and Wilson Musinguzi with 107 strokes in third position.

The event that also commemorated Uganda Woodball Federation's (UWbF) eight years of existence, saw top seed in the women's category Zawedde suffer her second defeat of the season.

She finished in third position with 112 strokes behind promising players Florence Mukoya and Joyce Nalubega both from Ndejje University with 107 and 112 strokes in first and second positions respectively.
