Misagga explained that the money the players are asking for cannot be paid to them because they are nolonger with the club.

SC Villa Jogoo president Immanuel Misagga has vowed to fight the disgruntled former players who have dragged the club to the FUFA player-status committee.

Former SC Villa Jogoo team captain Jonathan Mugabi, Isaac Muleme, Karim Ndugwa, Misi Katende and Nicholas Ssebwato have lodged a complaint with the FUFA Players' Status Committee at Mengo claiming unfair dismissal at Villa Park as well AS unpaid wages.

"I saw their letter to the (FUFA players' status) committee and clearly they are unrealistic. They are being pushed against Villa by a former club official. I want this case to be in the open. I want to take on the players in the open," a furious Misaga said.

Misagga explained that the money the players are asking for cannot be paid to them because they are nolonger with the club.

On why the players cannot be issued release letters, Misagga said that, "I spent money to buy these players. Why do they want to go for free? I'm not a church".

He said that Muleme was paid sh10m out of sh15m sign-on fees on a three years contract.

Misagga said that Mugabi, who signed a four-year deal for sh12m has taken sh9m although he has only been there for three years.
