Nasiwu who will have led the federation for eight years at the end of 2016, has finally made up his mind not to seek another term despite earlier comments that he would stay if nobody from the fraternity picks interest in the office.

The Uganda Volleyball Federation (UVF) president Sadik Nasiwu will not seek another term.

Nasiwu who will have led the federation for eight years at the end of 2016, has finally made up his mind not to seek another term despite earlier comments that he would stay if nobody from the fraternity picks interest in the office.

"Dear volleyballers, I take this opportunity to thank you for the opportunity you gave to be the president of volleyball for 2 terms. With my executive and board, we have done a lot for volleyball and I know much has to be done! I will not be renewing my mandate as  president of Uganda volleyball federation come early 2017," Nasiwu said.

"It's now time for us to ensure the right team is at the helm of the game. I have done this (announcement) early to avoid speculation and (also) give our affiliates time to vet the forth coming team," He added
