Muyingo offers to educate muslim students

Muyingo says he will pay school fees for one bright Muslim student in every parish in the district.

Muslim parents in Luwero district have reason to smile after the Minister of state for Higher Education. J.C. Muyingo offered to provide free secondary school education for bright Muslim students in the area.

Muyingo says he will pay school fees for one bright Muslim student in every parish in the district.

Muyingo, who is also the Member of Parliament for Bamunanika County in Luwero District, made the pledge while addressing a delegation of muslims whom he hosted for a fast-breaking dinner and duwa prayer at his country home in Bamunanika.

He said the intervention is aimed at promoting education standards among the members of the muslim communities in the district of Luwero by assisting poor but bright students whose parents cannot afford to pay fees.

Muyingo reiterated his message to the muslims to  educate their children in order to enhance their communities.
