Nadduli pledged to work with the Local leaders in Luweero for the good of the District, but warned that he would not hesitate to fight them if they engage in acts of impropriety.

Former Luwero LC5 Chairman-turned Minister, Hajji Abdul Nadduli, received a hero's welcome during his maiden visit as Minister to the District headquarters, with scores of residents struggling to shake hands with him.

Nadduli who was recently sworn in as minister without portfolio made  an  unexpected turn- up  at his former office on Wednesday, to hand over his former  official double cabin pick-up which he had been retaining  since he left  the LC5 chair.

The former LC5 chairman, who travelled in his newly acquired ministerial car, excused himself for having delayed to hand over the LC5 vehicle saying he was still using it before getting the ministerial one.

He thanked the Luwero chief administrative officer, Eustace Gakwandi and his successor Ronald Ndawula for having been patient with him.

Nadduli's LC5 successor, Ronald Ndawula said kidded that the former Chairman would not have been appointed a Minister if he had not defeated him during last year's NRM primaries.

Nadduli who was defeated in last year's Luweero LCv primaries, had initially vowed not to Hand over the brand new double cabin pick-up which was handed over to him early this year.
