The drivers who talked to New Vision said the fourth round of the national rally champion may decide the 2016 NRC title winner.

Rally drivers have urged the Bunyoro Kingdom officials to ask residents to stay away from the roads to be used by the rally cars during the Kabalega rally next month.

The drivers who talked to New Vision said the fourth round of the national rally champion may decide the 2016 NRC title winner.

"Unlike Fort Portal, we want the roads to be clear because this event is going to be tough," Justin Mungoma, Godfrey Lubega's co-driver stated.

"Running at an average speed of 200km per hour, a driver will not be able to save a boda-boda or pedestrian or cattle on the road," Mungoma stated.

Top crews, Jas Mangat, Ronald Ssebuguzi, Christakis Fitidis, Duncan, Rauf Adam, Mubiru Kikankane and Desh Kananura driving Mitsubishi Evo X,  will be chasing each other in the battle for victory.

The event on July 22-24 is organised by United Motorsport Club (UMOSPOC) and will cover a total distance of 271km of which 126km are transport section and 145.3km are competitive sections.
