Former minister Rhoda Kalema Nsibiirwa has counselled students against immoral behaviour, emphasizing that such vices can compromise their education.

She said students who give in to peer pressure risk jeopardizing prospects of making it in life.

A former deputy minister of public service and Kiboga woman MP, Kalema was speaking to over 500 students from secondary schools across Kiboga and Kyankwanzi under the scripture union umbrella at Ebenezer hall in Kiboga town.

This year's theme was ‘He came to seek and save the lost'.

She told them they shoulder the future of the nation, and that any mistakes they make would vehemently bounce back with far-reaching devastating effects.

Kalema, the patron of Kiboga-Kyankwanzi scripture union, cautioned the stakeholders in upbringing the students to intensify correct guidance through counselling programmes to save their future.

Uganda needs people with integrity to lead her institutions, she added.

The guest speaker, Rev. Geoffrey Byarugaba, told the students that in today's society where evil is pronounced, success only belongs in believing and trusting in God.

And making reference to the scripture (Luke 19:10), he assured students that in doing wrong there was no relief except in Jesus who came to seek and save those who were lost.

Byarugaba warned students against using bad language and dressing indecently within and out school.

On his part, the chairperson of Kiboga-Kyankwanzi scripture union Rev Edward Musinguzi all problems such as corruption rotate around people living immoral lives.
