After winning half of their eight games this season, Raymond Muhumuza's Sharing Youth are one of the National Basketball League (NBL) early surprise stories.

After all, Sharing started the season as heavy relegation candidates but Muhumuza and club manager Ben Lule have put together one of the more intriguing outfits in the League.

And Sunday at the YMCA, Sharing registered their first ever win over the StarTimes Falcons, rallying from a 12-point third quarter deficit to win 75-72.

It was a sweet victory for Muhumuza, who grew up in awe of the great Falcons' teams of the past. Emmanuel Okumu scored a game-high 18 points for Sharing, including eight straight as Sharing stormed back in the fourth quarter.

Tony Okello, Stephen Otoa, Ed Potter and Malek Lino contributed 15, 12, 11 and 10 points respectively for the Youth, who are slowly moving from relegation to postseason candidates.

Moving in the opposite direction, the Falcons have one win in eight games and have slumped to the drop zone.

"This year, we are rebuilding the team so we have to be realistic," said Falcons talisman Stephen Omony, who was playing only his second game of the season and finished with 19 points and eight rebounds.

Falcons' Vinnie Jurua led all scorers with 21 points.
