Onduparaka will unveil a new jersey during their Uganda Cup game against Vipers on Saturday at Nakivubo stadium.

The new kit will also be used  during their away games in the 2016/2017 Azam Uganda Premier League. Onduparaka, who have just been promoted to the Azam Uganda Premier League, can also become the first team from Northern Uganda to win this competition.

The match day will also be used for collecting items to be noted by FUFA to the Missionaries of the poor as an initiative to reach out to communities through football.The winner of the event walks away with sh7m while runners-up gets sh6m

The top scorer will also be rewarded with a golden boot and Shs 200,000. Muhammad Shaban of Onduparaka leads the scoring chart in the tournament with seven goals, one above second placed Erisa Sekisambu  of Vipers

Vipers prepared for onduparaka in Uganda Cup

All is set for the 2016 Uganda Cup final at Nakivubo War Memorial Stadium this Saturday as Vipers SC take on Onduparaka FC from Arua.

This is the first time the northern Uganda based team is playing in the final of Uganda Cup while Vipers will be trying to correct the missing foot after losing on the trophy in the finals of 2012 and 2013.

The Buikwe based side is the champion of the Azam Super League 2015 and participated in the Champions League this year losing on the first round.

Vipers SC players are confident to play a good final on Saturday after a keen and strategic training they have had for one week in residential training at St. Marys Kitende.

The team is in camp at St Mary's Kitende and having a double session training to prepare for the final that they have lost in 2012 and 2013.

Coach George Nsimbe in his morning training today has concentrated on solving the problem of players failing to convert goals and spent one hour on goal shooting to give them agility to convert easily.

Experienced player on the team, Mike Mutyaba said after the training that they are taking the Onduparaka encounter as a normal game where they need to use experience to overcome the opponent and lift the silverware.

He said the pressure they encountered in the semi final against KCCA FC is in no way comparable to playing a Big League or a first division team like Onduparaka.

"We are prepared enough. Our Coaches have given us enough tactics and we will be using experience to win because we have player matches of a bigger magnitude," noted experienced player on the Vipers side Mike Mutyaba.

On the other hand, Onduparaka FC is also in intensive training at Kyambogo University ground since Monday.
