Tanzania declines to host CECAFA Kagame Cup

CECAFA Secretary General, Nicholas Musonye has confirmed Tanzania's decision saying that they are working to secure another host within the shortest time possible.

East and Central Africa football governing body CECAFA is still stuck with the annual Kagame Cup football competition after Tanzania turned down the opportunity to host the competition.

According to CECAFA spokesman Rogers Mulindwa, with Rwanda and now Tanzania unwilling to stage the club competition, Sudan remains the most likely to stage the competition.

The tournament is slated for July.
