Desh hopeful for 2016 NRC title win

Race Ace Desh Kananura is hopeful he can win the national rally championship (NRC) this year if all goes as planned.

Desh, sixth on the NRC table standing with 75 points told New Vision in an interview, that he wants to win the Hoima rally next month and Rwanda Gorilla Rally which will raise his points to 315 points.

"If I win both the Hoima and Rwanda rally, I will then tally to 315 points," Desh stated.

"If Mangat and Ssebuguzi finish second and third respectively in Hoima rally then I will be second with only 60 points behind Mangat (375Pts) which means that the Pearl of Africa will have to decide who wins the NRC," Desh explained.

However, defending champion, Arthur Blick Jr,Jas Mangat, Hassan Alwi and Ronald Ssebuguzi are targeting the same crown.
