Bugiri mob lynches unindentified man

An angry mob in Waka Waka landing site in Bulidha sub county lynched an unidentified man suspected to have stolen clothes.

Armed with sticks and stones, the mob chased the deceased from Namaato trading center where he had allegedly stolen the two clothes from a businesswoman  to Wakawaka landing site before lynching him.

They pounced on the man and started beating him up before setting his body ablaze.

This is the second time, an angry mob is lynching people suspected to have engaged in theft in the district.

The district police commander Bugiri,Edirisa Kyeyune said the body of the deceased was still lying at Bugiri hospital mortuary awaiting a postmortem report.

He expressed concern over the increase in the number of cases involving mob justice in the district.
