Musagala, Negesa to spice up Kyabazinga Championships

Over 30 teams and national stars have confirmed participation in the 11th edition of the Kyabazinga Track and Field Athletics Championships due on Saturday at Bugembe Stadium in Jinja.

Ronald Musagala and Annet Negesa plus other stars will use the event to try and qualify for Rio Olympics later this year in August, World Junior Championships and Africa Senior Championships due in June and July this year in Russia and South Africa respectively.

The top three winners in each of the 28 events on the day will win cash prizes courtesy of MTN Uganda while Aqua Sipi will provide water for the participants.

The scene will also be set for secondary schools particularly in Busoga region to prepare and test their teams ahead of their respective district competitions and National Secondary Schools Championships slated for this year.

New districts of Namayingo, Luuka and Buyende have shown interest in making their debut in this year's championship.
