Wokorach out to prove doubters wrong in Elgon Cup

Rookie Philip Wokorach will use the game against Kenya in the Elgon Cup to cement his place in the national rugby team.

Coach Sseguya named five rookies in his squad including Paul Masendi, Philip Wokorach, Saul Kivumbi, Byron Oketa and Elijah Ssegawa to face Kenya on Saturday at Legends Rugby Club.

"This is the opportunity I have been praying for and it is my turn to prove that I'm international material," Wokorach stated.

The rugby fullback is an exciting player with great side stepping skills.

Rugby Cranes squad: Asuman Mugerwa, Cyrus Wathum, Brian Odongo(Cpt) ,Charles Uhuru, Byron Oketa,Pius Ogena, Ronald Musajja, Arthur Mpande, Elijah Ssegawa,Oscar Kalyango, Michael Wokorach, Philip Wokorach and Erick Kasiita.

Others are Ramathan Govule, Gerald Ssewankambo, Saul Kivumbi, James Odongo, Davis Kiwalabye, John Wandicho, Kevin Makmot, Denis Mullo, Joseph Aredo and Robert Masendi.
