Uganda Cranes' midfielder Faruku Miya is expected to resume full-time training Wednesday after he unexpectedly collapsed on Monday and thus missing the team's friendly match with Zimbabwe on Tuesday.

Miya did not even feature on the bench following his collapse in Ethiopia while in transit to Zimbabwe.

Our sources among the players said this morning that, "he (Miya) had to take a break because it was thought to be fatigue. I believe he will resume proper training in the evening."

Meanwhile Cranes coach Micho Sredojevic is optimistic that the team will emerge from the 2-0 defeat to Zimbabwe in the friendly match on Tuesday to secure a result against Botswana on Saturday.

"We wanted to see the form and shape of the players ahead of Botswana. We succeeded and got a clear picture of the players shape that will help us choose right guys on Saturday," Micho said after the loss to Zimbabwe.

Goalkeeper Denis Onyango who missed the Tuesday build up match because he arrived late, is also expected to take full charge of the posts.

But FUFA awaits their German counterpart's clearance by Thursday to allow Werder Bremen forward, Melveyn Lorenzen, who had an impressive debut to play in the AFCON qualifier for Uganda on Saturday.
