Makindye Court summons Erias Lukwago

Makindye Chief Magistrate's Court has summoned Kampala Lord Mayor elect, Erias Lukwago to appear before it on June 8.

The order was prompted by Principal state attorney, Happiness Ainebyona, after Lukwago failed to turn up for hearing of his case.

Lukwago together with Pastor Happiness Ngabo and Makerere University researcher, Dr. Stella Nyanzi, are charged with disobeying lawful orders.

The said orders were issued by the deputy Chief Justice Steven Kavuma banning Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party from holding activities related to the defiance campaign launched by the former presidential candidate, Col. Kizza Besigye.

During the proceedings on Friday, Principal State Attorney, Happiness Ainebyona requested Court to reject the submissions by defense lawyers to dismiss the case.
