Rhinos gets sh74m boost

The sh74.4m will cover a period of 18months from today and Shell Rimula Rhinos will start off the partnership with the Uganda Cup due September and October.


Rhinos Rugby club will aim at winning the 2017/2018 rugby league that kicks-of this November.

Rhinos club chairman Alex Kalimugogo disclosed this after the club received sh74.4m package from Shell Rimula fuel.

"Our focus is on winning the 2017/2018 Nile Special Premier League and this partnership is a good engine towards achieving our target," Kalimugogo stated.

Vivo energy managing director, Hans Paulsen pledged his company's commitment to supporting sports and urged Rhinos family to be good ambassadors of shell both on the pitch and off pitch.

"We are committed to support rugby in Uganda. Just Like our lubricant Shell Rimula, we expect you to go for those big hits and that will give results," Paulsen stated.

"We also expect you to behave in the right way avoiding negative publicity since you are now our ambassadors on pitch and off the pitch in the public," the former rugby player added.
