Talent Africa and Silk Events have teamed up to bring the legendary outfit to Uganda. In a statement, Talent Africa's CEO, Aly Alibahi promised Ugandans a great experience of old skool revealing that they will come with their band. "Uganda get ready for one of the biggest concerts of all time," he stated. "Kool & The Gang is coming with their full band and their stage performance is out of this world. People should get ready to Celebrate."

Elvis Sekyanzi the Managing Director of Silk Events adds "Kool & The Gang are living legends. They will have Ugandans of all ages dancing this November. The production for this show will be mind-blowing and we have already started preparations for a mega show."

Kool & the Gang created a unique blend of jazz, soul and funk that has gripped people since 1969. They sold over 70 million albums worldwide and influenced the music of three generations, in it earning two Grammy Awards, seven American Music Awards, 25 Top Ten R&B hits, nine Top Ten Pop hits and 31 gold and platinum albums. The group also has performed continuously for the past five decades, longer than any R&B group in history.

Ugandans have only had a feel of the group when their band leader Robert "Kool" Bell decked in Kampala in 2002 for a charity cause.  Now that the other members, Ronald Bell and lead vocalist James "J.T" Taylor will be with him, expect a great time. There were romours of a performance in 2014 but to no fruition.

Their bulletproof funk and jazzy arrangements have also made them the most sampled band of all time.
