Not even the absence of some stars in France will deter Ugandans from enjoying the Euro 2016 Championship that kicks off on June 10 at the Stade de France.

DStv subscribers and Ugandan fans in general are in for a treat come kick off as all games are set to be shown live, in the 56th edition of the quadrennial championships. It will for the first time have 24 countries in action.

Supersport 3 will be the dedicated channel for the premium subscribers, SS4 for the matches that will be played simultaneously and SS11&SS12 for those on the compact bouquet.

But there is more for the Ugandan fan after a promotion where fans will win viewing parties courtesy of DStv was launched on Wednesday.

The viewing parties will give fans a chance to host 20 of their friends at their homes with upcoming music artists making a special appearance at all the parties. 15 parties will be held in Kampala with 5 other taking place in other regions.

Speaking at the press launch at Riders bar Kamwokya on Wednesday night DStv Uganda marketing manager Phoebe Nakabazzi said up to 20 parties will be held for the different subscribers countrywide; who either renew their subscription on the Compact and Premiun bouquets for two months or longer, or new customers that will get connected to Dstv during the month long competition.

"Many people stand a chance to win because we are bringing the party home; we shall set up with a big screen and take care of everything for the winner and his guests. Three parties will be held every week during the competition," Nakabazzi said.

MultiChoice General Manager Charles Hamya said the Supersport brand is synonymous with featuring the best sporting events in High Definition and are going to continue delivering the best quality even with the Euro 2016 tournament.

"We promise to deliver the best product with all the 51 matches shown live on all Supersport channels and they will be at favorable times during the day which won't be an inconvenience to our subscribers," Hamya noted.
