Nemostars VC team captain George Aporu remains optimistic that his team will manage to keep their sponsorship deal with GoodsExpress.com despite their poor performance at the AMACO International volleyball tournament in Kenya over the weekend.
Nemostars grouped with Kenya Prisons and Ports Authority, failed to make the mark against the home sides at the tournament that also attracted Rwanda side Kirehe VC and finished last after they lost both games 3-1.
"This was a preparatory lesson for us going into the Rwanda Genocide memorial tournament. We learned that we need to increase our fire power (Attack) and defense (block). We did not do our best in Kenya and that has to change," Aporu said.
Nemostars VC missed the attack and block abilities of Dr. Louis Mubangizi who did not travel with the team due to other commitments, leaving a gap in Nemostars attacking and blocking strengths.
The online shopping company GoodsExpress.com has offered to bankroll the current league champions with up to sh150m if the Kololo based club can prove that they deserve the package at the AMACO preseason tournaments in Kenya, Rwanda Genocide Cup, Uganda Open and any other tournament of their choice.
