The soundtrack on the upcoming blockbuster "Queen Of Katwe's" official trailer is Leona Lewis' "Thick Skin" 2015 song. Enough to build up a lump in your throat, anticipating what could be a box office hit, come September.

Ugandan movie goers have waited for this movie since it emerged, late 2014, that film production houses, Walt Disney and ESPN Films, had merged forces to produce a movie based on Ugandan chess prodigy Phiona Mutesi's rags-to-stardom tale. And the trailer, released recently, has whetted their appetites.

Starring Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong'o and David Oyelowo, the trailer leaps up with hints definitely to be enjoyed by Ugandans, especially seeing Oyelowo's attempt at Ugandan nuances and accents. He seems to have stylised himself in that Robert Katende's character.

There is sure sign Director Mira Nair has punched herself up to get this Ugandan story capativating. In one of the recent interviews, Nyong'o described her role as "deeply personal."

Good signs, huh?

When this biographical drama film finally arrives, we only hope the popcorn-chewing folks don't choke on their seats because of that lump in their throats, whichever cinema they will first watch it from.

The film is set for a limited release in North America on September 23, 2016, followed by a general theatrical release on September 30.
