Gulu University students torch building in strike

The Guild President condemned that act

Gulu University students on Wednesday evening went on rampage and burnt down the main hall at the campus protesting the University's delay to release exam results of the last semester. 

The hall that was bunt down is a multipurpose building used for lectures, as wells as offices.  

The torched building also houses the office of the University spokesperson. 

Gulu Police fired tear gas and bullets to disperse the irate students but could do little to save the damaged property.

Robert Mukembo, the Gulu University Guild President condemned that act. 

The Aswa River Region Police spokesperson Patrick Jimmy Okema said they had opens investigations into the incident.
