Liverpool legend Allen Kennedy has advised Cipla Quality Chemical players to stick to the basics so as to play good football.
Kennedy was the lead coach at the Liverpool Academy in a two-hour training session that had Cipla representing Uganda, Big Rats from Indonesia and the Blues from Brunei yesterday.
The teams are on the three-day trip to Liverpool. All the three teams won the Standard Chartered Cup in their countries to get the trip to England.
Kennedy told the players after training session, "Many players fail to shine because they want to do so much but football is all about basics.
"Unless you get the basics right, it is difficult to get better."
The training session was held after the players went on a tour of Liverpool's home ground at Anfield. Cipla's Elijah Kayemba said it was a good moment.
