The men's team captained by Andrew Ndaula made it to the finals for the first time in three years but lost to hosts Kenya 3-2 at Kasarani stadium on Sunday.

"We may not be having proper equipment because most of us are using rollers instead of skaters which are the required shoes but we managed to surprise a team that reached the final at the World Cup last year," Ndaula said.

"I am sure if we get the right playing equipment, we shall be in position to win the next edition in Kampala."

Ndaula and Derrick Mugoya scored Uganda's consolation goals in the finals.

Uganda had earlier beaten Rwanda 7-6 before thumping Tanzania 7-0 to book a slot in the final.
