Saddam Juma scored the only goal as Vipers defeated Express 1-0 at Buikwe stadium to move second in the Azam Uganda Premier League.
Vipers on 49 points who also have a game in hand piled pressure on table leaders KCCA who are now only three points ahead.
Elsewhere, George Senkaaba scored a double as Saints beat SC Villa 2-0 away at Nakivubo Stadium while Sadolin Paints played to goalless draw with URA FC.
