A prosecution witness has told court that the slain businessman Eria Ssebunya Bugembe alias Kasiwukira had earlier assigned him to spy on his wife, Sarah Nabikolo and his sister-in-law with belief that they were practicing witchcraft.

Silver Karimana, 32, a bodaboda cyclist of Muyenga Diplomatic zone testified that Kasiwukira, in September 2014, assigned him to follow Nabikolo and Sandra Nakungu, saying that Nakungu took his wife to native witchdoctors, something he could not tolerate.

Karimana said he followed the duo using a bodaboda until they got to know about it and he stopped.

"After they got to know about it, Nabikolo followed me up to Diplomatic Zone bodaboda stage and abused me, saying "you are a Mufumbira, how much money is Kasiwukira giving you to do this kind of work? If he was so caring, why didn't you bring your sister to marry him".

Karimana said Nakungu also reported a case at Muyenga Community Police Station, saying he was threatening to kill her but when he went to the police station, a police officer warned him not to pursue issues concerning alleged Nakungu's car which is said to have been involved in the death of Kasiwukira.

Bugembe, a resident of Muyenga Zone B was testifying as prosecution witness number 12 in a case where the widow of the slain businessman, Nabikolo, 62, her sister in law Sandra Nakungu, 36, and police officer Ashraf Jaden, 40, are accused of killing Kasiwukira.

Prosecution alleges that on October 17, 2014 Kasiwukira was reportedly murdered at about 6:00am in Muyenga diplomatic zone. He was knocked down by a speeding car as he jogged in the neighborhood of Muyenga.
