Chemusto`s money rolls down Mount Elgon

The breath taking beauty of Mountain Elgon, especially on the Kapchorwa side has got an even bigger purpose for Sophie Chemusto. The 54 year old farmer, near Kapchorwa town uses the greenery and fertile soils to harvest money.

Chemusto grows bananas, coffee, Irish potatoes and onions on just over  five acres of land. She says that she earns millions from her enterprises.

"This farm is my office and I am happy with it," she says. On top of that, the farm has drawn her fame from all over the country because it is a model farm.
