The two had been slapped with indefinite suspensions

Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF) has revoked the suspension of boxer Fazil Juma Kaggwa and coach Dick katende.

The two had been slapped with indefinite suspensions after the boxer failed to make weight during the World Championship in Doha, Qatar last October.

UBF secretary Simon Barigo said the executive committee decision which was reached on Saturday was the good of the sport.

"In the interest of the sport, we waived of the suspension with a word of caution. We hope that this will serve as deterrent to other acts of indiscipline," said Barigo.

UBF president Kenneth Gimugu who penned the suspension blamed the boxer for gross indiscipline. Coach Dick Katende was reprimanded for being complicit in the boxers act, he said.

Following the suspension, Kaggwa missed the AIBA Pro Boxing (APB) series and the Olympic Qualifiers in Cameroon last month.

However, the boxer has already embarked on training for the last Olympic qualifiers due in Sofia Bulgeria in June.

Only two Uganda boxers; flyweight Ronald Serugo and light heavyweight Kenneth Katende have qualified for the Rio 2016 Olympics Games.
